Batiquitos Lagoon and the surrounding habitat are an ecologial preserve, that is for the protection of the birds, fish, plants, insects and animals that live here. Please do not disturb the wildlife or habitat or take anything from the lagoon area, that includes, plants, flowers and shells. Stay on the trail within the roped area. Remember you are out in nature, tree limbs can come down and the trail can become slippery due to heavy rains, which can also cause erosion of bluffs, so use caution when you are here. Snakes (including rattlesnakes), bobcats, coyotes, spiders, rats, bees along with many other animals live here at the lagoon. It is there home so you may see them when you are on the trail, please keep your distance and be respecful.
