Brick Program

We are excited to offer you a chance to support your lagoon and commemorate a loved one. By donating a brick you can help sponsor our efforts. All funds are used for our educational programs, and the preservation, restoration and maintenance of our nature center, trails and habitat. Be a part of something bigger than yourself and help “Keep Batiquitos Beautiful!”

Your donation will help us in our work to provide educational opportunities for children and adults and be a voice for the lagoon in local planning decisions. The Batiquitos Foundation is staffed entirely by volunteers, so that your money can go straight to our work. Your contribution is also tax deductible.

Volunteer

We are actively looking for volunteers to assist in all areas, we provide training and shadowing of our existing volunteers. We have many roles available from trail maintenance to hosting the nature center and leading docent walks.

Become a Member

When you become a member, you will start receiving our newsletter and will be able to vote on board members and bylaw revisions at the membership meeting, held annually in October. Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation is a registered non-profit organization 501(c)(3). Contributions are tax deductible to the limit permitted by law.

Support Batiquitos by Buying Firewood

Firewood is available for sale for $1 for each split log. Availability amounts vary due to wood supply, logistics, weather, and splitting. When available it can be purchased at the Nature Center which is usually open from 9am-3pm subject to volunteer availability.

Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation Dedicated Bench Program

Thank you for your interest in the Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation’s (BLF) Dedicated Bench Program. Unfortunately, there are no sites available for benches at this time. Sites become available when a current donor decides not to renew their Bench Agreement. Current donors have first right of refusal to renew their Agreement. At this time we have one site up for renewal in 2023, two sites in 2024, and six sites in 2025. To get on the wait list, you must be a member of Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation. You can purchase any level of membership to be wait-listed.

The dedicated Bench Costs are listed below. These costs are estimated and are subject to change based on vendor pricing.

• $1,250 - Five Year Patron Level BLF Membership at $250 per year - lump sum
• $1,300 - Bench Purchase (includes sales tax, shipping, and installation)
• $350 - Marine Brass Plaque (includes sales tax and delivery to BLF)
